Default I feel so dirty...

I was playing at my local B&M a few nights ago and I raised AQs from the cutoff. I'd missed completely by the river and the other guy was not going away anytime soon. He checked and I didn't think I could get him off his hand so I pseudo-checked, but my action may well have been construed as just putting my hands on the table. Simultaneously I'd turned around and noticed some drunk people rambling on behind the table. As I turned back, villain had exposed his cards showing bottom pair (with a pair on the board for two pair). I smiled and said, "Um, is his hand dead? I haven't acted yet". The dealer ruled his hand live, so I decided to value bet bluff and try to talk him out of a call. He only had $15 extra behind my bet, and he was agonising for a while before he asked, "Will you show if I fold?". I put on a pained expression, furrowed my brow and said "alright". He mucks and I table Ace high, and the table went nuts at me. Nobody else noticed my dodgy check, and the dealer commended my acting job.

I felt so dirty afterwards, and the poker gods punished me about 2 orbits later when my QQ I re-raised from the BB (too many people called the initial raise) got shoved into by the guy who smooth-called the initial raise from the SB. He had AA and I stacked off. I may have folded had I not committed over 1/3 of my chips with the re-raise (crap structure in Australian casinos at lower limits), and was convinced he'd be shoving a hand like AK in that spot, given that he was a bit stoned showing me some very bad play, like shoving into a total rock with an obviously beat flush and losing hundreds.

Justice, eh?

Nice angle shot, butt munch.

What exactly is a "pseudo-check?" Either you checked or you didn't. In this case, you did.

In Australia I believe the sentence for this is a boot to the buttocks rather than a kick in the nuts.

There's no need to play like this. Have some class.

You are an ass. Something similar happened to me once:

We're at the river, villain makes a big bet, I'm thinking about calling with my pair. After reasoning it out for a while I decide I have the best hand and reach for my chips to call. Villain says, "Flush" and I look over and see a King of diamonds. I'm a little confused that I'm only seeing one card, but I don't think too much of it at first. Since I hadn't actually called yet, I'm like, ok, I fold. He bitches about it a little, trying to get my river call, but that doesn't work. Then he turns over King high just to rub it in.

I was giving him so many evil looks and nasty comments after that that he didn't stick around long. I seriously felt like following this guy out to the parking lot and kicking his crippled ass (he had a knee injury and was on crutches).

When you do this kind of [censored], you're taking your life and your personal safety into your own hands. This guy was lucky I wasn't quite unstable enough to follow him out to his car. You might not be so lucky next time.

If you really felt dirty, you would not post a brag about cheating, rather you would post an apology to the Poker Gods. That kind of stuff will get you shanked or hit by a bus. BTW, the people at the table are dumb for not watching the action.

Yeah you should feel a little dirty. So don't do it anymore. If this is the worst angle you ever shot then you will be a good person.

Yeah, what you did was a scumbag angle and you should feel dirty. You can win at poker by playing well and not cheating other people.
