wildzer0 do you use voice to play poker? I read a few of your posts were you were trying it. I been using voice with dragon speaking, table navigator, and bet pot script for 3 fast stars tables and its pimp. I even take notes in with voice lol.

[/ QUOTE ]

I had my voice stuff working pretty well, but I have tourette's or something. I would say the wrong thing ("all in, oh wait I mean fold!") or would curse or something which would be interpreted as a command. It probably did something I didn't want it to do about once every 500 hands but it was enough to make me nervous.

How do you take notes with voice though? That sounds awesome and I would love to implement that even if I don't do the rest.

And an avatar change is coming up! In the 3 years or so I've been playing poker, I've never taken more than a few days off, Going two months without even thinking about poker was just what I needed. My poker mental state was [censored].

With dragon naturally speaking I just open the notes thing for hte person and speak it into the box and it adds what I say. It messes up quite a bit at first but after awhile it starts to understand what you say the way you say it. I'd say it gets things bout 55% right now but before it was way worse. An example is slow plays sets turns into slow playsets.

With dragon I have to say "press [insert hotkey here] to fold or bet. To enter bets I have to say "mouse right click" to do the bet pot script. So to bet pot preflop I have to say mouse right click press two. Helps from making mis speaks lol. I think I have less misclicks now then when I used a gamepad.

So you're saying that 20-50NL is not beatable for more than 2-3 ptbb/100 due to the rake ?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not him, but I don't think that's exactly what he's saying.

The rake is like 10% of a big pot at 10NL as opposed to 3% at 100NL (I can't remember what 20, 25, and 50 % is, I haven't played there in forever) - that's a huge jump. Being that you're probably not a great player playing around the 10NL level, beating the rake can indeed be quite difficult. The learning curve of jumping in at 100NL is probably huge too, which for some people is a great motivator.

Past 2 days have sucked. Moving down to 6 tables.

If I lose 3 more buy-ins, moving down to 25NL, to get confidence back up for a couple of days.

Someone tell me if this is standard or spew? From what I gather I have 36% equity and the call is 5.3 to win 17? FWIW during hand I thought it was 60/40 with my being 40 and him having an overpair. I thought he would fold an overpair to the b/3b line but once he shoved I thought I was getting about right price to call. Was I?

Once you 3bet him, yeah, I'm getting it in there.

I don't think you should have 3bet.
