I actually thought it was pretty decent, had some very tense parts. I'm a mark for any horror movie though so my opinions are typically not to be trusted for horror films. And a movie ticket costs at least $10.50.

Also, I'm sure those girls were eager to climb all over you after you ruined their movie experience by bitching for the previous 2 hours.

I was entertained, and I thought it was a nice change of pace from the ultra-gore horror movies that have recently come out.

Dom, this was my exact reaction as well. That novella scared the crap out of me when I was little, and is one of my favorite stories by King. I hope the movie doesn't suck.
