Default A6s

Villan and I have played a few hands together. He is the same villan in my recent 'QQ post', where he played passively to beat my QQ w/ AKdd. thread here . Over 89 hands, he is 33/4.5/.58.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.50/$1

UTG+1: $71.20

Hero: $112.25

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG calls $1, UTG+1 folds, CO calls $1, Button folds, SB calls $0.5, Hero checks.

Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($4, 4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $4, UTG folds, CO raises to $10, SB folds, Hero calls $6.

Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($24, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $10, Hero calls $10.

River: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($44, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $15, Hero calls $15.

Results:
Final pot: $74

River is sketchy. I'm not really sure of his holdings at the moment.

Fold to the flop raise

He was getting 3:1 with nut flush draw + overcard, that's enough for me. Looks like you're only beating a bluff on the river, but it's a smallish bet-- not sure.

River odds look good to me, but I think you lost this hand to K9, but will be ahead here often enough to call.

What a nasty ugly hand sir.

(how's NL100 going?)

3-bet shove flop would be fun.

C/r turn AI looks very very goot to me in this hand.

Was thinking about that on the turn. But villan has shown a passive side to him and I thought maybe my FE wasn't so good.

btw, 100NL is going so so. I took out $300 for my spring break trip this upcoming week so I'm a bit underrolled. Lost 2 buyins today, so if I lose a few more, I'll drop back down. Thanks for asking.

I'm not really sure our ace will be good when villain raises the flop, and our implied odds are a bit discounted since the flush card will probably scare the [censored] out of him.. I think on the flop it's a fold.

probst and man: This isn't even remotely close to a fold on the flop after Hero leads for a bet. It's a call at the least.

PS. This hand is real read intensive IMHO. It depends alot on previous interactions with villian whether or not you should do something goofy like push somewhere.

I'm with AJ here. I would have considered pushing the turn, but I think your line extracts the most from weaker holding like a mid-2-pr.

You played it fine. You had 19 outs on the river, it's a shame none of them hit. You were about a 3/2 dog and got 3.4-1 on your money. Don't forget to cash out some Sklansky dollars for spring break. I hear the hotties will do almost anything for them
