Although that structure looks awesome, I'm sure you'll hear no end of bitching from the regulars if you introduce an ante...

Also, even their biggest tournies the blind never get much over 2k or so.

Well yeah, the total chips pool is microscopic. It's tough to get over the 2k level when everyone only has 9 BB, even though they try to limp and minraise their way beyond 2k.

Which the risk averse social players don't seem to mind. Much like the chip stacks for tournaments, they don't care, they are there to chat and enjoy themselves. I don't mind this at all, different strokes and all.

But I know for a fact that there are a number of players that would at least play the tourneys if there were a better structure.

Personally busto ??? I generally play only in Costa Rica, where the games are pretty low key and low stakes. We will be running a Costa Rica Poker Beach promotion next month by the way, you are welcome to come down and take a shot here.

Is there still a Costa Rica tie in to the Sunday tourney?

No, the Sunday $6K Guaranteed Tourney is separate.

We are going to add a separate Poker on the Beach tournament series, giving away several trips to a live WPS $2,500 buy-in tournament scheduled in Jaco in October.

Our August promos are due out tomorrow or tonight with details.

Rather than attracting the risk averse player, the high BB to buy in ratio engenders a much looser playing style and leads to an action packed game. When your Big Blind equals 4% of your buy-in you can't afford to sit around waiting for the nuts. The action is much juicier than ,say, Stars or Tilt or Absolute. This is one of the keys that make TP a worthwhile site, IMO. I would not want to see this change. It would change and destroy the dynamic of an action game.

Ya.. it makes for some truly awful play. When the bigger omaha games ran it was so fun.
