Default live game, AK in the sb

button is a tag, very good and aggro and respects me. BB is too loose and not very good. Generally this is an aggressive game.

2 limpers, button raises it, I spy AKo in the SB and three-bet, BB calls, one limper folds (smart guy), other calls, button caps, we're going 4 ways 4 times for 17 sbs.

Flop is AdTd4s and I don't have a diamond.

Checked to the button who bets, I raise, BB calls, limper folds, button 3 bets....

Who likes a call and a turn c/r?

Who likes a cap?

Why?

edit: I should also add that button will give me a fairly wide range considering what I think of his range.

Against a thinking player, you most likely will not get the turn check raise off against a worse hand.

You check raised the flop. Most good players don't get check raised twice, unless they want to.

Cap the flop and bet the turn. Check raise if a diamond hits, if he reraises you can either call down or fold depending on your mood.

I'd try the checkraise if a non diamond falls. I want to get as much of the BB's money into this pot as possible.

I like a turn c/r for possible wa/wb situation.

I really want to cap though to get a better read on what BB has before we start entering the more expensive streets, not to mention the drawy board.

Giving a free card really sucks in this spot. Either cap and lead turn or call and lead a non-diamond turn.

Calling down a 3 bet once a diamond hits would be a losing play versus this guy.

How does capping help that? He's already called 2 cold on the flop, what makes you think he won't call another two small bets?

What about the idea of sacrificing one sb here to make that sucker pay 2bbs on the turn? How often do you think a flop, with this action, gets checked through on the turn?

Since button is a good TAG and his preflop range is fairly wide in this spot, it probably gets checked through a fair percentage of the time.
