Call down. Check raise A/J/heart river.

No me likey. He could be raising for a free showdown. I like call turn. Bet A/J/heart river.

Just call, do not 3-bet. Villain is quite passive with an AF of 1.4, so I think he really has something on the turn. Maybe AJ as well, maybe a set. Depending on his coldcalling range, he could have KJs/QJs/JTs maybe? I would probably check river UI, and bet if A/J/heart comes.

I donk a river A/J/heart too. Villain has only shown this one point of aggression. My opinion changes if he had 3 bet preflop or done something else like raise your flop and call a 3 bet.

I also like call turn. I dislike betting an A/J river unless we're folding to a raise, and I don't like having to fold to a raise against this guy.

FWIW, I think 36/11/1.4 type players are very rarely raising for a free showdown. That's plenty aggro for a VPIP that high, and I suspect that if he was going to make a move with an underpair he'd have done that on the flop. So he's probably either got top pair or a set, either of which he's absolutely going to bet when we check to him on the river. I think giving him a two pair hand on this board is being pretty optimistic.

I do like check/raising a [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] river, of course.

BTW, hands like this are exactly why I've grown so fond of the "Won SD when raised turn" stat on PAHUD.

I have only played a little 3/6 on PS but based upon my play at this level on other sites...

I doubt that more than a third of the players at any random table know what the free showdown play is.

Of that third half of them have heard of it but really don't understand what it is or when to use it.

I think that somebody who coldcalled preflop after one raise is even less likely to be using the play.

However, if I have seen villian go for the free showdown a couple times time recently I'm perfectly fine with the river donk play.

Do we check call UI on a blank river? I fully expect to be beat but have a hard time folding in these spots. I suspect it's a leak I need to plug.

We will usually be beat but because of the size of the pot calling should be profitable.
