Default new to investing

I am wanting to start investing in stocks. what I have been doing is spending a lot of time reading about stocks and trying to get the basics figured out.

I read through a lot of the posts here ad realize how little I actually know. does anyone have an good resources that I can look over for help getting the basics. also what is an acceptable starting bankroll for a first time investor?

are there any mock programs or sites I can use to make fake trades and get it down?

all help I very appreciated.

I agree. Fake trades actually cause you to research less because you know that you won't actually lose anything.

OP, is there a certain type of investing you plan on doing?
