NLCASH - Pre-flop BB min-raise calling range
Simple enough... what is your calling range when you are the BB vs a button min-raise pre-flop?

if he's doing it often, very wide [/ QUOTE ] Specific range? Or if it's easier, range of hands you aren't calling with? As I've said in another thread, I've run the gamut. From keeping it the same as my 3BB OOP calling range, to calling with almost ATC. Now I call with any suited gappers, connectors 45+, all aces, any J+... |

Re: NLCASH - Pre-flop BB min-raise calling range
The range depends on the frequency of his minraises.
Obviously calling with more hands than to a potsized raise, but definately not ATC. Against the habitual minraiser, maybe A2o+/K7o+/anything kind of connected/etc. |

Re: NLCASH - Pre-flop BB min-raise calling range
Does your perceived edge against him postflop come into play here as much as it does in a HU SNG?
For example, against a very readable player I am more willing to call raises with lower-mid aces than I am against a tougher villain who is harder to read. |

I think the min raise PF HU now is used alot,it can be a good way to get junk calling outta the BB and a good tool if used against the RIGHT player. If they i doing this alot i would not call with these hands i would 3bet $6 at 50/1 this way you build nice pot and gain pot control.Even OOP it's all good HU |

Re: NLCASH - Pre-flop BB min-raise calling range
That's another good question, is what do you 3bet a min-raiser?
I've settled into the theory that a 3-bet is a 3-bet. My normal 3-bet is 10BB (11-12BB if opponent opens for 4BB or we are deep), so I want to get close to that vs a min-raiser and will go no less than 9BB. |

Re: NLCASH - Pre-flop BB min-raise calling range
You shouldnt always tighten up against a low frequency minraiser, if the minraiser only did so with AA and KK I would call with ATC but if he did it with AT+, 77+ I would play much tighter.

Re: NLCASH - Pre-flop BB min-raise calling range
i call a lot with junk and it also depends a lot on if the minraiser is minraising his entire range-- or potting some, limping some, minraising some
against those who fall in the latter group I am 3betting most everything and usually 3b to 7bb or so. i dont think its too terribly important what you 3b too although 3b'ing to 6bb can get you in a lot of tricky spots and they can call super wide and its easy to spew imo if people's standard raise is a minraise, and they seem competent, I probably 3b a little wider, but keep it close to what my usual 3b'ing range would be too a standard raise (as well as obv calling more oop to the minraise) |
