Because the money is going in anyways and I'd rather want to see it happen now than on the turn if an overcards appears. Dumb villains tend to flat call here with AK etc. And: shoving looks more like a bluff to villain, especially to a bad one.
And given the stack size of villain, preflop I'd either raise a little more if we want to call an all-in or a little less if we think that we still could get away from the hand.
