Dick Van Patten's play at the Fathers/Sons WPT event. It wasn't one hand, but it turned out to not be much more than that, due to the skill level involved. Every single hand he played made you feel embarrassed for the old guy.

That clip should be proof alone that Poker is a game of skill...

[ QUOTE ]
Some guy folds a turned set of tens against Phil Ivey and someone else facing a single bet on the turn on a board something like AJxT.

Guy: I think I just screwed up. I folded tens.
Ivey: You folded a ten?
Guy: I had pocket tens.
Ivey: You did not just fold a set of tens.

[/ QUOTE ]

tommy reed made that fold at the FT of the 05 lake tahoe circuit event

ivey's reaction is hilarious in that hand.

I really hope they air that final table again, so someone can upload that hand to youtube. The entire table was fun to watch, especially Ivey-Lisandro heads up.

The worst hand I have ever seen on TV was Tommy Reed folding a set of tens in a WSOP Circuit event (against David Pham and another player).

[/ QUOTE ]

A tie between this hand and the Vanessa Selbst hand.

Selbst opens with a raise with 5s2s. Chang calls with TT. Peterson who hasn't played a hand in awhile reraises. Selbst goes over the top all in. Chang looks at his tens. Says he thought he had a good hand and folds. Peterson insta calls with his AA.

[/ QUOTE ]

lol...i think its funny when people try and defend this play when it was nothing short of horrible

I've seen a lot but that has to be way up the ranks.

Both deserved a 10m penalty after this one:

Definitly not a Rick Roll

Someone can top this?

[/ QUOTE ]

This one is great because all 4 streets are kind of embarrassing.

[/ QUOTE ]

after Chad Rousso checks the river he says, "I thought you had an Ace".....WTF?? so why check the nuts??

awful poker

FWIW, in bluff magazine he said he checked behind because he wanted to see what she re-raised with PF.

That seems totally contradictory to his claim that he thought she had an ace, doesn't it? If she really had an ace, then she'd call his push and still show. If she had an ace and folded, then he would have half the pot to console himself with over lost information. Either he's not honest at one of the two points, or he's even dumber than this hand would indicate.

Daniel to Todd "Todd just lost his mind". But I don't know what Daniel was thinking when he only checked the river.

[/ QUOTE ]

The best part is that afterward, Mike Matusow offers to bet $20,000, presumably at 1:1 odds, that Todd had exactly the 58cc when the flop contained the 5c.

[/ QUOTE ]I didn't see the hand in question or hear that claim- just reporting what he said in the mag.

[/ QUOTE ]She is never folding an ace there- and he probably believed she wasn't calling with anything else. Not defending his play, but talking about her folding an ace is silly.

And BTW, saying that the entire hand (as has been stated) was misplayed by both is simply not accurate. I would say that Brown only misplayed his hand on the river, possibly the turn. I don't see what's wrong with either before the flop or on the flop.
