Tools>Options>General>(uncheck)Bring to front when action is required

This will stop stealing the focus of the cursor, but it will also stop any table popping up on top of the desktop, so you need to keep an eye on your tables to prevent from timing out.

also when you open up a note it is dumb that the cursor defaults to the color select menu instead of the typing box. as if i want to write my observations in fuschia...

How long does it typically take to get a check if you have them send it regular mail?

maybe like three weeks. it takes about 7-10 days for the money to be withdrawn from your account, and then a similar length of time to get to your door.
