Holy hell. I never knew I supported Ron Paul that much. i was a Thompson supporter.

Wow.

That's because the poll doesn't cover his crazier positions (gold standard, eliminate the income tax).

Those aren't crazy. Keeping a counterfeit currency standard and an income tax are crazy. They are both terrible policy.

Number 2 was McManigal, number 3 was Keyes. Beyond that I don't recall. Never heard of McManigal, and I think Keyes is a bombastic jackass.

It's not like the president can make the gold standard happen without the help of congress anyway, so that can be safely ignored.

wow, I'm really surprised this poll captured my views this well, because I was undecided on alot of things, but this has been my preferred tier of candidates:

1. Theoretical Ideal Candidate (100%)
2. Alan Augustson (campaign suspended) (65%) Information link
3. Barack Obama (65%) Information link
4. Ron Paul (61%) Information link
5. Dennis Kucinich (60%)

[/ QUOTE ]

How do you answer this and get Obama/Paul/Kucinich. Three completely different points on the spectrum IMO.

[/ QUOTE ]
1. Theoretical Ideal Candidate (100%)
2. Dennis Kucinich (79%) Information link
3. Barack Obama (78%) Information link
4. Alan Augustson (campaign suspended) (69%) Information link
5. Ron Paul (68%) Information link
6. Mike Gravel (67%) Information link
7. Michael Bloomberg (says he will not run) (66%) Information link
8. Al Gore (not announced) (66%) Information link
9. Christopher Dodd (63%) Information link
10. Wesley Clark (not running, endorsed Clinton) (62%)

Civil liberties + Taxes basically.
