Default I play weird sometimes.

..and its probably bad that i do. These are a couple spots i thought were weird from the past few days.

Early in Borgata $2500 event, $12k stacks, $25/$50 blinds.

Oldish man in MP open limps, he's been playing like 80vpip/1pfr, I make it $250 straight in the CO w/ black KK.
Middle aged man is sitting to my direct left, wearing oakleys, looked like he cared about working out, and talked about a $25/$50 uncapped private game in NYC that he wanted to get the older gentleman to come play (the 90/1 guy, lol). He also talked about being a regular in the $25/$50 game at borgata. I didnt really think much of him, and figured that he'd go overboard pushing people around, but obviously didnt like that he had the seat directly on my left. Anyways, he calls the 250, and it folds back to the older man who calls.

Flop comes 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($825 in pot)
Old guy checks, I check, Button bets $700, Old guy folds and I call.
Turn comes 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($2225 in pot)
I check, button bets $1500 and I call.
River 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($5225 in pot)
I check, he bets $2500 and I call.

---

Old guy open limps in MP3, i call on the button w/ 86o, SB (oakleys) calls, BB checks.
Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($200 pot)
old guy bets $150, i call, heads up to the turn.
Turn: 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($500)
old guy bets $150 again, I call.
River T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($800)
old guy bets $600, I think a bit and raise to $2k.

---

Borgata $10k, $30k stacks, $25/$50.

Random limps in EMP, I raise to $250 with red AA, Eric Cajelais who has been very active calls in the SB and limper calls.
Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($775)
Checks to me and I bet $500, Cajelais is the only caller.
Turn: J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($1975)
Checks through.
River: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($1975)
Cajelais thinks a second and bets $1000 (two purple, twice my flop bet). I think for like 20 seconds and raise to $3500.

Obviously, if you think he's going to bet really often the flop check is solid. I've started to do this more.

Once you check, though, doesn't a c/r look really goofy and induce weird action? I think c/r big like 2600.

If you're playing an aggro opponent that calls in position PF, and particularly if he thinks you're some nit that's afraid to be busted, I absolutely love the check/call 3 streets line.

I like all 3 except maybe just a call on the end in the 86o hand. I prefer to raise flops like that but I definitely have no problem with the way you played any of them.

Yeah I agree with the 86o hand because he's not going to call you with a worse hand ever, unless he's just a huge station.

I would raise the turn on the 86 hand, but as played call the river.

I don't hate any of them. I think you should bet the flop in the KK hand though. I'd raise the turn with 86 but just call river. I've actually spent a lot of time thinking about taking the AA hand line in cash games and decided it's sexy, so I like that one.

I just wrote up a post about why it might be good to bet the turn, but then realized just how sexy your line is. He might even call you w/TT because your line looks like AK. I just told you what you already know.

I have no problem with any of these and often take those kinds of lines, *but*, we are not good in hand 1 live.

Don't ask me how I know this and don't ask me whether I fold the river, because I'm a donk and don't. All I know is that we're not good there.

Hand 1:
Obv isn't the standard line but I like how you played. I almost want to c/r the river for value. But that's super thin.

Hand 2. I probably raise the turn as played river raise is fine

Hand 3: NH I really like every street.
