Default 10-20 Tables...Jesus!

hey..i have a question to players who startet with PLO25 or something like this and made the move to 10-20.
Currently iam Playing 2-4 or 3-6,sometimes 5-10 but theres not very often a table open, playin shortstacked.

I just dont have a clue how to play there...
Reason1:iam really afraid of losing 400 on a hand,
thats much of a difference compared to 80 or 120,
and so i get always raised in LP when in blinds.
Reason2:there is so so much hard Pf-Raising going on,
i cant take a shot at a flop or i nearly have to commit myself.
Flop itself is bet i think to 90%+.And if i get aces/quality and shove,i never get heads up and land in a multiway pot, mostly losing.
So is there anybody who IS successful playin shortstacked approach on that level and can advise a good site,i mean a site where 2-4 is nearly as aggressive as 10-20?
or any dvices on how to improve/adjust my game?
Btw,if it helps my vpip is ~17 and 3%pf raises.

I've never shortstacked, but I'm pretty sure 17/3 is far from optimal.
