15/30 sb=button

dont know anything about opponent

he opens i call 82cc

flop 23c6c check check
turn 5x i bet he calls
river tx. can i value bet?? its either that or c/f i guess

I would bet. Most unknowns are gonna bet a hand like A4 on that flop, or J5 for that matter. When he just calls the turn hands like K7 make sense. Basically i put him on a hand that doesn't want to call your flop c/r but will.

If he hit the ten he can't raise you really so i usually bet this spot. I would pretty much never c/f as I don't give an unknow credit for value betting 1 pair here.

I think so, even more so as it's almost an impossible spot for him to be raising on a bluff. That type of bluff is irrational IMO and without knowing anything about this guy I wouldn't assume he made them.

Is there really any need to call preflop with 82s out of position when you don't know the enemy?

filtering my db for hands where i called a raise in this spot

92s breakeven
93s -.19bb

thats over 630 total instances. folding is an automatic -.5bb loss.

I think you can value bet here. Some opponents don't call worse hands here, but plenty do.
