Well... Even HU i'd say calling off those chips to NEED a T is for sure -EV, however if he has AK or AA KK you do get paid here and got lucky for sure. Because of the PF raising its definitely safe to say he does not have the straight, so congrats on the hand you lucked out however I wouldnt make this same mistake twice. Q3 sounded donkish too btw but that might've created this action for you. No matter how it all worked out, the wrong play can always win but over the long run its gonna be -EV and you wont even know you did anything wrong.

Hmmm. I don't know if everyone flop not containing a 10 is a poor flop. What if the flop is something like J/under/under or Q/under/under. 10s are most likely good right now, and if there is only one over on the board, especially if it's not an ace, then they are likely to be good on the flop.

If this is your plan post flop, then you should just shove preflop to get full action from AQ & AK.

Thats where your reading skills have to come into play, of course he is out of position for that.

Not sure what kind of read you plan on getting in a 4bet pot post flop with the size of the pot and the stacks each of you have behind. Most likely it will be shove/fold or shove/call on the flop.

I think there are a lot of favorable flops that could come out here. I find myself in this position a lot though, so I'd like to hear if other people agree with you, I feel like I might misplay 10s pretty consistently.

Trust me, I am giving you good advice here. Calling TT oop in a 4bet pot is bad news.

I would CB in this spot, especially with the amount of raising and reraising that has been going on.

Correct, my posts are more for in general situations. 200BB deep does change things. I still don't know if you are getting odds for set mining here. Based on OP history his 4bet range would be larger than standard.

I don't doubt that your advice is good, especially after reviewing it and seeing that the blinds are 50/1 instead of my normal 1/2 game. 30 preflop is quite a bit for 10s especially here. Thanks for the advice.

Pf is standard against a spewmonkey. He's not just calling for set value. C/R all-in flop.

Calling off $24 to win a $250 stack after investing $10... there are odds to set mine right? The chance of hitting a set on the flop are about 8-1 or 8.5-1, hero is getting 2-1 preflop and should be able to stack villain if he has what he is representing (bigPP, AK) and given the past history.

I don't know, maybe that's a leak of mine, but I would almost always call off $24 here for set value, considering that I'm pretty sure I can get villain back later in the session even if I lose this pot.
