Fold > Shove >>>> Call of his initial raise, the 2nd decision is probably a narrow call but you should never have to make a 2nd decision here.

As said, fold P/F. You don't have enough chips to call a raise, unless you want to get cute with AA. There is an argument to be made for R/R AI, but I don't like it - you have no FE to speak of, and you are behind any A or any pair. As played, call the A/I I guess - there is a bunch of dead money in the pot, and, if you are lucky, he has TT or JJ.

i called and i won. he had ak. the reason i had flat called was i was too big to just open shove and a mini raise is usually weak. if you read sklansky's forum he says to speculate w a marginal hand when u have that awkward stack bc if u miss the flop then u can just shove next quality hand you pick up. most 2 plus 2 ppl don't like this strategy but i am trying it and i agree with him. the pot odds i thought were just good enough to call his reraise.

He's raised to 600, you have 3800, thats almost the perfect stack to shove over, I don't think it's awkward at all, it's a very normal push/fold decision

You gain some protection from the big stack still having to act after open raising (mini) utg…

If you’re going to call a raise for all of your chips then I don’t think the above applies. Do you?

i fold this pre sometimes, shove sometimes, depends on how frequent the guy has been open minraising

after the guy overshoves though its a fold, i mean.. that is why you flat called pre right? so you could fold?
