Default JJ in SB multiple limpers

Blinds 100/200 Hero has 6,600 after posting SB. Average stack around 11,500 early on.

UTG and UTG+1 fold, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, highjack calls and Cutoff calls.

Hero raises to 1,000 with JJ. MP1 calls and MP2 calls, the other 2 fold. Both callers have hero well-covered.

Pot is 3,600. Flop is 6-7-8 rainbow. Hero moves all-in for 5,600.

First off I hate the pre-flop raise to 1K. Too small. If even one of the limpers calls i'm giving any other limper around 3.5 to 1 which prices in small pairs and suited connectors. My question is really about the post flop shove. Outside of a set or flopped straight or 2 pair i know i'm ahead as QQ,KK and AA raise pre-flop. MP1 was a loose calling station and i really wanted to charge him to hit an overcard. I wanted to take the pot down right there and if i bet the pot i'm pretty much committed anyways.

Thoughts?

Preflop raise to about 1600-1800.

Your push on the flop is fine. Like you said any other bet committs you to the pot and the flop is very draw heavy so you want to take it down tight there.

Would a probe or C bet be right in this situation? Blinds are still small enough that you would have a smaller stack but not out of it.

Bet/folding is really bad with our stack size, makes us pot committet. Let's say we bet 2.5k (leaving 3k in our stack) and someone shoves, we will have to call bacause we will be getting huge odds.

MP1 folded and MP2 called with pocket 8s and i did not improve. I seem to be getting stacked alot lately with JJ when the flop comes with no overcards.

As you said, raise more preflop. Postflop I think is fine.

You played it fine except the preflop raise. Better luck next time.
