Best place for tourneys in Vegas?
Where is the best place to play a tourney in Vegas where the blinds do not increase rapidly making it an all-in fest? I'll be there Fri/Sat.

Re: Best place for tourneys in Vegas?
Caesars noon for $330, Venetian noon for $550, Wynn noon on Friday only for $530, Bellagio 2pm for $1060. Visit www.allvegaspoker.com and click on "tournament" and look there for details. Though I think the starting chip count they show for Wynn is out-of-date...I haven't played it since it supposedly increased but I was told they're now giving 5000 starting instead of 3000.
I'd pick Caesars, myself. Don't make dinner plans if you're going to play any of these; you will be doing nothing but one poker tourney all day if you do well. A bit more affordable but not as nice a structure would be the Sahara 7pm or 11pm and the Orleans 7pm. |

Both the Orleans and Sahara tourneys are less than $100.

Re: Best place for tourneys in Vegas?
That'd be Orleans or Sahara. I like Sahara, other folks swear by Orleans. Both are off the beaten strip path a bit, but Sahara technically is on the strip and has a monorail station and nearby bus stop making it easy and convenient for the budget-minded to get to compared to Orleans. Both are playable.

I played the tourny Sunday morning and it had about 12 tables or more I think. However, I went back at night and the late night tourny also had a lot of people in it too. Plus no antes you can't go wrong at Sahara. Hilton hotel is the ballers spot. I loved that hotel. Enjoy the pool and have fun. |

Everything you need is here: http://www.pokertournamentformula.co...ournaments.htm [/ QUOTE ] It's way out of date. Caesars gives you 10,000 starting chips now at noon, for instance, not 4500, and it's not $130 anymore. Wynn bumped their starting chips. So that web page is hugely understating things for those tourneys. |

Re: Best place for tourneys in Vegas?
Caesers has a 3pm $65 tourny capped at 50 players, usually full 40 minutes before the start. I won it last week but it is pretty good for how cheap it is.
The 7pm/11pm $42+20 rebuy at sahara is a good value. |
