(5$) TPTK vs all-in
I checked flop with intention of c/r all-in.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (6 handed) converter UTG (t1140) MP (t4090) CO (t1780) Button (t2770) SB (t2755) Hero (t2365) Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG calls t100, MP raises to t200, 3 folds, Hero calls t100, UTG calls t100. Flop: (t650) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero checks, UTG bets t940 (All-In), MP calls t940 Hero? |

Re: (5$) TPTK vs all-in
mp just calling kinda makes me think that he doesn't mind someone else coming into this, so he might have a big hand, overpair or trips? i don't know what i would do. it would depend on my read of mp, i'm not overly scared of the pusher. i'd either push or fold.

Folding isn't an option here, you will be facing such a wide range of inferior hands so many times.

Re: (5$) TPTK vs all-in
What are your reads on these two guys? I play these stakes? In general the low stakes donks min-raise it usually means one of three things:
1) He is on an average hand Or 2) He has Aces or Kings The UTG call with only 11 times the big blind when he should be pushing is just as much a donk move such as min-raising The flop is a very tough when you smell a trap. Have you seen these players make min raises with premium hand the push? Do they make these pushes an calls with hands like AT or Q8? If I have to guess exactly what these guys have, I would have to say at least one of them have an overpair at least. If you think they have something crappy it's more than okay to pay him off. |

Re: (5$) TPTK vs all-in
i recommend pushing... it is unlikely for someone to have two pair (Q2? Q5? 25? not really).
you're really only losing to trips, and if that happens, so be it. it's tough to get a better flop for AQ than Q52 off suit. |

But facing that 900 or whatever was laid to you I'd just push. There's no reason to go all in on this flop yourself first to act because you really can figure with great certainty to be ahead here a great majority of the time and you want to build the pot, but after you get reraised after betting the pot or 1/2 the pot to juice it up yeah I'd go all in. |

Re: (5$) TPTK vs all-in
I would fold here and look for a better spot to get my money in. Granted you could be up against AK,KQ, 99, and so forth. However, the min raise from could very well be 22,55,AA, or KK.
With 21bbs I pass. |

Re: (5$) TPTK vs all-in
$5 huh? I would guess more likely you're up against KQ or KJ sooted from the bettor and middle pair 99 or so from the caller...
I push here. Ithink the range is worth it...Plus if you DO drive off the caller...you have a good chance to get a ton of chips heads up. |

Re: (5$) TPTK vs all-in
What's read on MP? If he's not overly tight I'm pushing this preflop to pick up the 450 out there. As played definately push flop.
