Playing from Maryland
There's a good chance that I'll be signing up for some poker sites with a Maryland address. I'm not too familiar with the state's legislation and was curious about playing online from there. If my ePassporte account is registered with a non-MD address, will poker sites still allow me to register from MD?

Re: Playing from Maryland
Depends on the poker site. Maryland has been aggressive about not allowing online gambling, though there aint much a state can do by itself, they did at one point get Neteller to agree to stop serving Maryland, as I recall. Whether poker is "gambling" under Maryland law is an open question. It is not, IMHO.

Re: Playing from Maryland
I didn't think that Maryland was one of the state's that you had to worry about. I live in Wisconsin and I know some sites won't let people from the following states deposit: Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, and Wisconsin.
(Namely Prima family) but I never heard any restrictions about Maryland. If your ePassporte account is registered in one of these states, can you set up an alternative way to fund or change your adress with ePassporte? |
