I just bought one of these:

Big Green Egg ftw! I pick it up on Sunday. Awesome!1

I just finished my first meal cooked on the Big Green Egg. First off, a few differences between this and say a weber or gas grill. The BGE can be used as a grill or a smoker, even an oven for that matter. You can regulated the temp. using vents to fit the meal you plan on cooking. For example, if you are grilling steaks, you let it heat up to 700 degrees (f) and cook the steaks to the disired wellness.

We had ribs and pork roast which I smoked at 350 degrees for about 2.5 hours using indirect heat. I used hickory and some old wine barrel chips for wood. Both were fall off the bone tender and the roast melted in your mouth.

Another cool thing, you use lump charcoal which can last for over 24 hours for long low heat smoking. In my case, after I finished cooking, I shut all the vents, the coals stop burning, and you can reuse the coals the next time you cook. Very cool.

anyway, I'll take pics next time and post them. Probably going to do steak next and we have a big party coming up where I'll do a chicken, and a pork and rib roast.

You and Cha need to co-host a BBQ.

Yugo as a wingman would probably be a sure-fire way to bust a slump.

Yeah not even that long, a couple days probably. The first couple hours it's frustrating and you'll feel like you wasted your money, so I'd suggest not to 12 table during that time, but you will get it. My wrist used to get soooooo sore and once I got the trackball I haven't had any significant pain whatsoever.

I've been using it for about 2.5 years now, I agree, it's awesume.

As for getting used to it, just keep your normal mouse hooked up also and grab for it if it gets busy. after a couple days you wont need to. Keep both attached though, cause maybe twice a year the trackball will lose it's signal.
