Default PS3 Question (not sure where else I could post this?)

Do PS3s support DVDs from multiple regions disimilar to most DVD players. I have both region 1 and region 2 DVDs so am hoping I can watch both on a PS3.

Can someone confirm?

Default Re: PS3 Question (not sure where else I could post this?)

from a random website:
"Hey all, ok here is the deal. The ps3 is region free for ps3 games, however it is not for ps2/1 games. Its also Not region free for dvd’s. Best shoot for getting imports to work properly with uk dvd’s and ps2/1 games is to wait for the europe release and then to get the european bios."
however... the games are region free:

the MPAA would never allow such a device to ship with a region free DVD player.... try this: http://www.google.com/search?q=region+free+DVD+player or amazon or other online stores.
