***,

Some good stuff there, but to be honest I think that the styles that you are recommeding here require a pretty well put-together pretty fashion-forward overall style to pull off without looking silly. I suspect this is not quite the shoe level Bruiser is at right now. I had a couple of Fluevogs in the shoe shopping thread I linked that are similar in nature. I do like some of those Kowalskis quite a bit.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree with these sentiments for the most part. I would like to add that this look is so very European. I don't know what you look like Bruiser, but Chuck Taylors are still somewhat hot right now and a low cut white pair would do well with a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Also, a few pairs of deisel shoes would do you well.

These would look good with a pair of baggy jeans and a t

As would these

And these

another thing that I am kinda into is

these

with orange or red laces, jeans, a plain t, and a blazer

edit: by the way, my man * * * has got some serious fashion sense. he may be a bit advanced for bruiser, but every shoe that he has posted is totally hot.

I suck at shoes and need help. I want some purely casual shoes, probably 2 pair, to go w/ jeans + T, etc... and a pair of brown casual/dress shoes that would go well with jeans (going out) or khakis (at work).

Thoughts on these for casual shoes for summer/fall? Yes I realize like 5 of those are pumas and twice, just different colors and the same design... Other suggestions def. welcomed!

3 or 6 (maybe 4). They look ok. The rest look awful IMO.

literally 100% of my shoes are spikeless golf shoes from footjoy, nike or ecco. theyre stylish, comfy, 100% waterproof, last over 5 years easy and your always ready for a putting contest.

Ha, I've actually been known to take my actual golf shoes, unscrew the spikes, and wear them out.

Also, for your nicer shoes, get some cedar shoe trees to help keep them dry, smelling good, and hold their shape.

[/ QUOTE ]

Absolutely. This works for my dress shoes as well as my golf shoes and soccer cleats. I probably have half a dozen shoe trees.

j,

Those are sweet. Looks like the closest thing that they sell in the US is the Puma Uke, which are not nearly as cool as those.

I was hoping for a thread like this. My problem is that my feet are disproportionately small. I wear a 6 but kids' sizes generally end at size 5 and "grown-up" shoes start at 7 or 8. Obviously this creates problems for me. With persistence, I can usually find some stylish sneakers to wear but I'm getting to the age (and income level) where I want to own some nice pairs of shoes.

Does anyone know of a store or chain that would have a selection of shoes in my size?
