Looks a bit like a misclick. If it's not, you're probably in trouble here.

I'd say his most likely holding here are 88 and KQ.

I'd say his most likely holding here are 88 and KQ. [/ QUOTE ] I think JT and T9 also play this way. Why would KQ overbet the turn and try to scare people away? I mean, ya, maybe he's trying to get the pot a little bigger - but seems like an odd way to do it. On the turn, I think 88 usually just calls here. I'd say his range is closer to JT,T9,KQ,87, maybe some sets, but not likely. equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 43.920% 31.42% 12.50% 553 220.00 { 9d8d } Hand 1: 56.080% 43.58% 12.50% 767 220.00 { KQs, JTs, T9s, 87s, KQo, JTo, T9o, 87o } Adding in 99,TT for sets only changes our equity by about 3%. Man... I dunno... so close.... Do overpairs ever play like this? I think adding QQ-AA to his range easily pushes this to a call. At the actual table, I don't see myself folding this. |

Your range is way to tight.
Board: Td Jh 9s 7s Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 57.075% 50.15% 06.93% 2052 283.50 { 9d8d } Hand 1: 42.925% 36.00% 06.93% 1473 283.50 { QQ-77, AQs-AJs, KJs+, Q8s, J9s+, T9s, 98s, AJo, KQo, Q8o, J9o+, T9o, 98o } --- I think this is a little better. |

Re: Turned straight + overbet = Time for handreading?
Making that bet with QQ-77 and two pair seems retarded, not to mention the question of whether he'd call in the sb with off-suit connectors. That said, I am having a hard time putting villain on a hand

Re: Turned straight + overbet = Time for handreading?
Yes, push is good. Villain wanted to 3bet ai on the flop, got frustrated and now overbets the turn since he probably doesn´t put you on a 8. A tonne of hands wants to play a big pot on the flop, basically any hand ahead of AA or flipping. And now you beat all of those hands except for KQ.
