Table dynamics rule for me with the little ones UTG. Loose floater on my left and I cant be bothered as I end up having to either 2nd barrell a lot or check/fold too many turns. I would say 22-44 UTG is around 70/30 raise/fold ratio as an arbitrary figure plucked out of thin air.

urb,
Just raise all pairs from all positions. Call a raise or reraise your pairs accordingly.

urbs,

It really depends on a read. If your opponents only rr QQ+ pf (which i found true A LOT at FT) then calling a rr is fine. If he has a wide 3betting range, fold

I wont argue with this but as I am trying to eliminate open-limping from my game ......

I think opening 22 UTG in 6-max might be -EV. Depends how weak the table is, though.

Using the 5-10 rule without thinking is way -EV. The lighter someone reraises, the less implied odds you have, so you have to fold more preflop, which sort of feels like the opposite of what you want to do.

While I was the poster boy for the neverlimp campaign, I'd still rather be rich than trendy.

Why is every one so against open limping ? If blinds are not tough, isn't it somewhat profitable to open limp ?
