Default Pot control AQ oop (25nl)

Im working on pot control, is this hand too passive?

This table has been VERY loose agro, lots of raising and reraising, and ive been involved in alot of pots without showdowns.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

UTG ($51.56)
Button ($21.47)
Hero ($29.50)
BB ($12.45)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.10.
UTG calls $0.25, Button calls $0.25, Hero (poster) completes, BB checks.

Normally I reraise AQ regardless of position but considering the aforementioned, I decided to limp it in here and call any pf raises. Raise or no raise, Im playing this OOP and I dont want to do it with a big pot.

Flop: ($1) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets $1, BB folds, UTG calls $1, Button raises to $2, Hero calls $1, UTG calls $1.
Good flop for me but its still only TPTK. I fully expect them to bet each street. Again, I want a small pot here so i can just get to showdown. i elect to open with a fair bet with plans of calling it down unles the board gets ugly

Turn: ($7) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, Button bets $2.36, Hero calls $2.36, UTG calls $2.36.

River: ($14.08) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks

I think I would have reraised in on the flop to get it down to hu. As played, I'd likely call any bet on river and look to reraise.

wont work at this table, theyre quite loose. raising preflop would just result in a large multiway pot

if these players are that loose/bad, consider not using pot control in this situation. think about why you are using it in the first place (it's because you don't want to make bets/raises that can't be called by worse hands).

given that you decided to use pot control, your line is good.

I like your line, repopping the flop leaves you with an odd turn decision if called, and almost forces you to overplay your hand.

You decide not to raise because you expect to get called???

That's the greatest thing in the world that could happen when you raise for value... so raise it up!

but do you really want to defend a huge pot on the river with only TPTK?

If the other guy will get it in with worse, then by all means.
