Preflop: Generally I like to isolate with hands that have better unimproved showdown value. But if villian is especially bad or doesn't go to many showdowns then raising is certainly fine.

If there is a spewy LAG in the blinds who wants to stack of I am not sure raising is the play preflop. You want to play the hand vs the idiot limper and the BB. But raising doesnt accomplish much as you will never isolate the limper.
So I would just overlimp. Call down the donk. He is bad enough to make plays at empty pots and worse J's and pp's is in his range. |
