I hate to say it guys but, I told you so... I knew this was going to happen. It just didn't make any sense the way the Indians were spreading 20-40 ect. I hope the law gets changed and I hope you get higher limits, but you had to know this was coming.

You would think that with all the action they were getting there at The Hard Rock, that they could make a case to the state showing that this is what people want!!! Can you imagine how much it would boost the tourism in Florida having no limits to our poker games? People would have a choice instead of always just going to Las Vegas. Especially with all the "high rollers" and ballers in South Florida especially, high stakes poker could bring huge revenue to the state if the seminoles could work out an agreement to give a % of their profits back to the state.

I know it sounds like a pipe dream, but you gotta believe someone would recognize the vast potential this possible poker hotbed could have for the state. Why force all the rich high stakes players to go boost the revenues for Las Vegas when we could put it right back into our own state. I believe that The seminoles knew they would be shut down but wanted to see what kind of turnout they would get with unlimited stakes before being shut down. I also believe this will be used to present a case to the state in trying to reach an agreement. Maybe I'm crazy or just looking for some ray of hope, but I do think we haven't seen the last of the high stakes madness in the state of Florida!!!!

Honestly, I don't really see any benefit to the tribes / card rooms to have higher limits.

They don't make any more $$$ in rake than they do now, and the rooms are already packed to the gills. Even before the NL cash games, there was usually a 2+ hour wait on a Saturday night at the HR.

Table games, sure. Class III slots, probably. But what does the casino have to gain by having bigger poker games?

Unfortuantely he's correct. The state doesn't get any of their money and they aren't interested in letting people lose 100k/night in games that aren't going to make them very much money.

And when they get the chance to spread BJ, craps, roulette, etc., poker will go bye-bye.

The Seminoles say they shut down the high-stakes games voluntarily.
