Default When in doubt...

When in doubt, do you push or fold?

I know many people are going to say "well it depends on the situation". It's a general question, and I'm looking for a general answer.

In other words, which are you more likely to do?

Of course this depends on the situation.

When in doubt about opening--push.
When in doubt about calling--fold.

I push because intuitively one would think fold with a bad hand. When in doubt, its usually because my hand is so bad i don't wanna push.

Basically, I almost always know if its a +EV push, but sometimes its tempting to fold if i'm running bad. So to counter this, I push when in doubt.

I couldn't find rock on your poll. That's the correct answer.

Voted fold. I am not a very laggy player and I care about stack preservation. But if I can find a good reason to push, of course I do.

If I'm not sure, I shove. There are two reasons for this.

1. I figure if I win those extra chips, it will create more situations where I can make clearly +EV pushes.

2. It physically pains me to fold, but I'm way too good of a player to be calling.

I tend to fold in these situations at lower limits and push when the players are better.

Also, if it's heads up the answer is push.
