Default new home sales office foot traffic data

I have heard rumors that you can buy data showing the foot traffic to new housing sales offices, collected by people sitting there and counting heads.

Can anyone confirm/deny this or point me towards a service like this?

Can you be more specific? I am somewhat familiar with this type of research but it generally comes with a very, very, high price tag.

Not really. I am just wondering what's out there. I don't see what the big deal about counting heads is, though. It's a minimum wage job.

Usually there's niche consulting firms that collect / aggregate this kind of data but then they charge you an arm and a leg for their reports.

If somebody paid me minimum wage to sit and count heads I would count for about an hour, multiply that number by 8 then read a book or take a nap for the rest of my shift.

if you want it to help with finding out if more or less are buying new homes, sales is the more important thing, as how many walk in is of no consequence.
but if you want to know so you can sell those people something else then it is relevent.
if you want a general idea just ask the secretary at a few offices if more or less people are coming in. she or he will know.
