I'm still in the Army - I get out this summer.

The job would be involving fielding new equipment - never leaving the base - one of the main bases in Iraq.. I'm not worried about the "danger" to be honest - there would be zero direct danger and very minimal random danger. It would be 5 months in, one month off, then 5 more months then the job would be over.

If it's really tax free as someone suggested I would have a hard time passing up that gig. $300K tax free is significant money for me and my wife would be able to stay home with the baby for a few years instead of us using daycare which we hate.

To some people I guess it's pocket change so if you're in that situation, meh.
