if the pats could get any player i guess i would grab some stud young WR, because moss and stallworth will likely be gone next year

The team after you that gets Peterson will be grateful.

i think peterson is likely to be better than maroney, but RB talent is easier to replace, and we have two pretty good backs already for the next couple years.

besides if we added AP it would basically just be unfair.

If you're New England, who the hell do you add, period? Do you add Lance Briggs? Ed Reed?

Sick, sick, sick roster.

yeah if i could add absolutely anyone to that team it would probably be a young WR or the best d-back on the market. harrison's getting older and even with samuel, you can never have too many shut-down corners.

a great LB is always good too. briggs isn't a bad idea.

I'd take Walter Payton. If he has to be alive I'll take LT.

Say you're the GM of NE and all you care about winning is this year. And you can add any player in the NFL, but you have to give up your current starter at his position. They'll instantly join the team, so they'll have to quickly learn the system and won't have much time to gel(in other words, it probably wouldn't be worth it for a small upgrade).

Of the 22 offensive and defensive starters(and assume everyone returns to full health that is injured now) how many would they replace?

I don't know the o and d lines well enough to say. Of the skill positions I RB and WR#2 and WR#3 seem obvious. Gates would be a pretty big upgrade even though Watson isn't bad.

AP has turned me into a Minnesota fan, helps that hes on a fantasy team of mine, but that guy is a great player, and a great player to watch. The Vikings have no QB, nor receivers, no reason to watch. Except for AP. I used to follow Green Bay as my 2nd team.

NE's D-Line is ridiculous, don't think we're replacing them. O-Line needs time to gel and it's great.

If you replace Welker/Stallworth, how much better are you going to get? I mean, you have the best pass offense in the NFL, your recievers are open almost EVERY play (or at least open enough for Brady to complete it) for a ridiculous YPA. No one can cover Moss/Welker/Stallworth/Watson.

I just don't see how much better you can get at offense. This is the same with RB. Maroney and Morris are both top 10 RB's (according to DPAR this year), and I don't really see how much better you get even with a guy like Adrian Peterson or LT.

There just isn't a lot of room for the Patriots to improve on offense. On defense, this is close, but I think there's more room to improve there. The Linebackers are old, secondary is beatable. I think I go with Champ Bailey.
