UTG folds, MP raises to $8.00, CO folds, BTN raises to $28.00, US calls $26.00, BB folds, MP calls $20.00

Flop: ($88) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
US checks, MP checks, BTN checks

Turn: ($88) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
US??

reads: btn is everyones favourite party reg pavel. he runs at 24/12/2ish for those who dont know and can do some wierd plays, havent plyed with him too much so cant say much more then that, and other guy is 30/4/0.5 ish, pretty classic passive type, not incredibly loose.

i thought pf was pretty standard and didnt like raising, although could be persuaded o/w.

flop: i think betting is bad here

turn: meh, i could go either way. what are your opinions? (if you bet, how much? and why?)

thanks

If the raise sizes would have been MP: 16, Pavel 3B to 50 I would definitely fold my J's. In this case I like a call PF.

I check the turn again. MP could easily be very strong and you're not going to get 2 streets of value.

If MP bets I'm out, and I'm not sure what would be best if Pavel bets the turn here.. (don't have my notes on him here)

I would bet and protect your hand. You have the best hand alot here.

Shut down if the passive guy calls and fold if Pavel raises.

I like flop check.

I'd bet $50 and try to take it down. I'd be weary if anyone (especially MP) played back at me.

I think both handranges are pretty narrow, I wouldn't be too worried about draws. Worst case scenario of checking with the best hand here is giving 99 6 free outs.

edit: [censored] missed the flush draw, mmm that adds a few combos like AQdd or AJdd. This makes it closer but I'm still not confident betting is best here...

Wrong I think. Pavel can squeeze a really wide range here, while the passive guy can have AQ type of hands.

The open-raiser is 30/4, Do you really think Pavel will squeeze a wide range against him? I don't think he's THAT bad and will adjust his range (atleast a little) to passive opponents towards premiums here.
