There is no single player the Phillies could add that would make a bigger difference than Arod. I would obviously be thrilled if they added him. Imagine this team with any of the NL East third baseman, Wright, Zimmerman, or Cabrera. The phillies would be offensively unstoppable.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd still rather them focus on pitching. Their lineup is good enough to win. Their pitching is not.

I would love Arod, but the difference between scoring 5.6 runs and 5.8 runs is not making up for the 5.95 ERA.

Arod at 3rd, I'd root for him and feel dirty, but I'd get over it after the first homer.

I think that's how I feel.

And dear god he would fit in so well playing third.

I'm pretty sure we can trot out Manuel to pitch and still win with that lineup.

If we make it to game 4, I'll be happy.

I'm just going to reminisce how happy I was last Sunday, just being in the position to be in the playoffs, and how unhappy we made the Mets.

ahhhh

So if you're going to save Romero/Gordon/Myers by pitching Mesa and Condrey in the middle of the game, WHY DO YOU [censored] BRING IN ROMERO AT THE END OF THE GAME WHEN IT'S 10-5?????!?!?!?!?!?!

At first I was like, they've got to fire Manuel.

Then August/September/Mets collapse happened and i was like, wow, this guy keeps his team contending in the face of the injuries. Can't fire him now.

But no, now I'm sure you dump him for someone who knows how to [censored] handle a pitching staff. I do believe they won despite him the second half of the season.

Keep him as hitting coach, keep him as bench coach, keep him as friendly old guy who just hangs out with the team, but for the love of god do not let him make pitching decisions ever again. Just soooooo dumb.

Seriously. Even if we get swept, I'll still be happy about this season. It's been a great run for these guys and something to build upon next year.
