AFAIK, gimmicks are relatively safe under the current UBB forum because IP checking users is a pain in the pooper. But with vBulletin, IP checking will be much easier, si? So the value of gimmicks will be diminished amirite, because mods/admins will easily be able to figure out who the gimmick is?

IMO gimmicks are popular on 2+2 because it's hard to figure out who they belong to. Switching to vB will make gimmicks obsolete imo. IMO.

Mods will have a button on each post that they can click to get the IP address and hostname it was posted from. They'll also be able to search a username and get all IP addresses that person has posted on and every user who's used any of those IP addresses.

Basically, NT! will be able to not only ban gimmicks, but find their owners and ban them in about 20 seconds each.
