Default film: 3:10 to Yuma

directed by: james mangold (walk the line, girl, interrupted)
starring: russel crowe, christian bale, peter fonda, other rough looking western dudes

plot (from imdb): A small-time rancher agrees to hold a captured outlaw who's awaiting a train to go to court in Yuma. A battle of wills ensues as the outlaw tries to psych out the rancher.

this is a remake of the 1957 Elmore Leonard written western.

i have read nothing but good things about it so far, and the early reviews have been very positive. comes out sept. 7th

here is to hoping for a sweet western

trailer on youtube. probably higher quality versions elsewhere

I just saw it. Very well done. 8.5/10. Crowe is amazing, Bale is good, and Crowe's right hand man is unbelievable. I dont even know his name, but he was fantastic. Definitely a must see.

If I were a woman I would want to have Christian Bale's babies. Just saying.

i saw the preview friday nite when i went to see The King of Kong...and i was SO stoked for a good western. My dad raised me on those...and Tombstone is one of my all time favorite movies. I really hope it's very good too!
Since i am a woman, i would want to have Christian Bale's, well ya know. just saying.

I saw this last night. I'm usually not that interested in Western movies, but this was an excellent movie. Very good actors. Good actions. A simple story which is what I like. No sexy time, but who cares.
