Default I USE to love golf.

After working at a golf course for several years, i can now no longer go to any golf course to play the game. I probably played on average 36+ holes a day 9 months a year for 5-6 years in addition to working at the course (im only in early 20's). So why do i not like this great game anymore? Dealing with a-hole customers everyday for way too long. IF you like playing golf NEVER work at a course. Some of the biggest problems.....The guys who think that by paying once, they can play as many holes as they want.....alot of times these are the same people who are still out there playing the same 3 holes over and over 30 minutes after dark (This is no different than stealing from a bank)They usually give me a (f you ) look when they come in and I ask if they played extra and need to pay.

The one guy every year (each year someone different) who decides to pay to play with a cart.... and drives it into a pond while acting like hes jeff gordon at daytona

having to explain to a tight wad,( usually drives the nicest car in parking lot, wearing expensive clothes) why he has to pay to ride in a cart if his frined already got one.

the guy who comes in on a sat morning at the turn and tells me that play is too slow, it took him a little over 2 hours

the person who thinks they know more about the day to day operations than i do (yes there is a 'shotgunned' league tonight, the course is full and no the guy who works here didnt let you "play anyways" last time )

i can keep going but im gettting pissed lol

Yeah, I'm pretty good at reading people and golf course employees seem like the most miserable of the lot, from the top on down. I have some friends who work at courses and I can never bring myself to ask them about it. But personally I am just super courteous to all the staff and try to overcome their undercurrent of rage for the benefit of both of us. It generally works.

Well I have to ask this. Why exactly do 2 people need to pay to use 1 cart?

My question is rather, what is it that you use to play golf? Cocaine, Heoin, glue?
