River is a bet if turn is a bet. Turn is a bet, so river is a bet. Villain will call with a wide range of hands that you beat. Think about it this way: if he made a baby flush on the turn, and he is so weak/loose that he doesn't raise, you gain by the FTOP. Poker is easy.

As soon as UTG folds the flop, your plan for the rest of the hand should be to b/f the turn and b/f the river. Completely standard line against a loose-passive.

I always have difficulty with this kinda scenario. Being OOP, with an overcard and possible flush, and villian keeps calling passively.

So looks like b/f is the optimal approach if villian is passive and predictable. Usually, I would call a raise by villian on the turn or river, and villian would turn over something like a set, 2 pair or made flush.

So guys, what about if I have hit top 2 pair? ie I'm holding pocket K9o OOP, and the board is comes Kd2d9c 8s 4h. I'll be betting every street, but faced with a raise on the river. Call the passive player?
