Default do you call a draw if you are even money?

In playing a cash game...say you have equal stacks...would you call on a draw if you calculated that you were even money? or would you just fold?

If you're exactly even money, you fold: its 0 EV, and calling increases your variance.

Bankroll management is sometimes the dominant consideration. However, there are often more important considerations than variance. Calling may let you increase the expected amount of money you have on the table, for example, which is sometimes an advantage.

That's a good point, calling could be a good move with a max buy in and some deep-stacked bad players.

Also if the loss to opponent is likely to cause tilt.

call if your opponent is better than you, or when you know you can tilt him if you win. otherwise fold. because why give the creep a 50% shot at your money when he's slobbering all over himself.

I'm assuming fold equity isn't an issue, ie he's calling All in.

The loss may cause your opponent to tilt but that doesn't preclude you from tilting if you lose either .

are you calling a shove? if not consider raising-- that's the whole point of fold equity
