Make your own movie about poker. You could have any budget and do it anyway you want. As i was thinking about this today and was just not pleased at how poker is portrayed, as rounders being the only "somewhat" decent attempt at putting it to film. I was curious as to how 2p2ers would make their film about poker.

It'd be the very embellished story of Chris Moneymaker winning the WSOP ME. I'd try and spend as much of the budget as possible on advertising & hype.

my movie would probably have jesus as a john maclane type character with an uzi runnning around through casinos....security would card him because he has such an aura of youthful godliness around him....

Oh, and in the final scene, hero wins the day with the most improbable suck-out after playing the hand like a total fish.

Final line of the movie: "Sometimes you just gotta go with your gut"

Yeah, yeah, the hero's arc of the movie is that he's a real uptight, conservative dude both in poker and real life. His best friend is this wild crazy guy who's always saying crap like "Sometimes you gotta go with your gut" and getting them both in trouble.

'Course, best friend gets killed and that sets up the final Hold'em Grudge Match against villain where hero finally "goes with his gut".


Oh, and half the movie is shot on location in strip clubs and brothels. LDO.

Howard Stern was talking last week about how he wants to make a remake of trekkies only about star wars conventions. I imagine it would be the exact same movie. But he thinks it would be hilarious.

I havent seen trekkies but after hearing interviews from teh star war convention, I might have to pick it up
