PokerTracker 3 - Alpha Signup & Beta/Final Release Reminder

As previously mentioned our Mac version will not be ready to be tested until after we test the Windows version. However, we are now accepting sign-ups to alpha test both versions.

If you want to sign-up to only test Mac's, please choose your Operating System and note that you would only like to test on the Mac OS in the message box at the end of the form.

Best regards,

APerfect10

The only reason i have parallels is to run PO and stars/full tilt. Though unfortunately pokerstars seems to kernel crash my parallels install so I'm back to using my desktop windows pc.

did you try VMWare fusion, yet?
i used both parallels and vmware fusion and fusion was way faster and more stable on my macbook.

would be cool to have the mac and windows PT sync automatically. like if you use parallels to play on UB and it imports from windows PT to mac PT.

This would be a killer feature that I would be willing to pay a lot more for. I don't know how possible it would be though considering the different file systems that OS X and Windows run: HFS vs NTFS. I know there are ways to read/write to HFS files in Windows by running a program like MacDrive.

Another quick thought would be to use an external hard drive that would work with both OSes if you dual boot or to install some flash memory into Express34 card slot on a MacBook Pro and then save the databases there.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, buying a copy of PT3 lets you use it on two computers -> running it on mac & PC counts as two? dumb question I know, but I've got XP running on my mac to use PT (for when I'm away from my PC at home), and unless stars gets that mac beta out, I'll probably still need to use a PC.

Also, (regarding PT3 in general) is there gonna be an equity calculator of some sort, kinda like PokerStove? I posted in the other thread, but looks like it got missed.

Can't wait for this to come out!

Yes, your one license will allow you to run PT3 on a PC and a Mac, if that's what you want to do.

An equity calculator will likely be added, but might not be available at launch.

Here is a scenario I'd love to have PT3 be able to support.

-PT3 installed and running on OS X (postgresql running on OS X).
-Full Tilt OS X client works
-Stars (or any PT3 support site that doesn't have OS X support) running in vmware/fusion
-All sites have PT3+huds running/importing into the same database.

I think this is doable to some extend already (although I had trouble configuring it in PT2).

Add me to the list of people who would be swayed to buy a Mac for my next computer if PT was available on Mac

My macbook pro is on the way (first time I'll be using one since elementary school). This thread is a large part of why I pulled the triggered.
