Re: Standard 3 bet OOP?
If the table is generally LP (I know you just sat down, but I mean the 10NL game and site you play in general), calling is more than OK. If they know how to fold to scary raises, then as played is OK. You have to be the judge of that.

Re: Standard 3 bet OOP?
If all three options seem horrible then you're generally better off throwing the hand away. It costs you a tiny little bit of EV to throw a hand away preflop (just pretend it was 72o) and save yourself all the difficult decisions that will inevitably follow.
That said here I'm quite happy to put in a squeeze reraise and fire out about 3/4 PSB on the flop if I get a single caller. |

Re: Standard 3 bet OOP?
I'd squeeze a little more, maybe $2.3. C-bet with one caller is probably 2/3-3/4 pot depending on dryness of the board.

Re: Standard 3 bet OOP?
I have lost a lot of money 3betting from the blinds against unknowns so I don't do that anymore. I'd say your better options are call and fold. I'm calling this, but I can definitely see a fold here.

Re: Standard 3 bet OOP?
I don't like the idea of 3-betting out of the blinds with AQ, you are out of position and you don't know where you stand

Re: Standard 3 bet OOP?
Won't 3-betting here though give me a better idea of where i stand?

Re: Standard 3 bet OOP?
I'm not sure, but if he folds you're ahead, if he calls still don't really know, and your oop.
I don't completely dislike reraising, but I'm with Gravy, and would have made it something like 2.25. 3 betting has it's advantages, and will gain you the lead in the betting and get the pot likely heads up, and if you both whiff, you can possibly force out an equal or slightly better hand post flop. However, I've recently noticed that when 3 betting preflop w/ AQs and getting played with, I'm rarely way ahead, and often being behind. |

Re: Standard 3 bet OOP?
You only get called by better hands so when your bet gets called you still don't know where you stand. Or am I off

Re: Standard 3 bet OOP?
I don't raise from the blinds, unless I have some reads on the opponents...here I'll probably just call.
