Default Dell Inspiron 9400 Heat Problem

After using for 10-20 minutes the bottom is rather warm. Is this standard for these or might i have fan problems?

that's very standard.

they generate a chunk of heat. that's what electrical circuits typically do.

Standard. Unless it is really really hot, I wouldn't worry about it. My laptops, Dells and HPs both get hot enough that you can't stand to set them on your bare skinned legs when wearing shorts for very long at all after they've been running awhile.
