40NL at The Bike - did I loose money here?
Been there for 9 hands, folded all of them. I am the shortest stack with $37. I am lp 2 from the button with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Limped around to me with 1 player in, guy on my left puts out $6 before I have a chance to act. I am pulling out chips while he is doing this and announce $10. He says 'sorry' and calls the $10. BB calls, ep calls and flop is 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Checked to me and I push my remaining stack, $27. Guy on my left folds, BB raises to $54 and ep folds. The guy to my left told me he had QJo. The BB had 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] So, did I give up money by not letting the QJ bet out, call him, check to him on the flop? The ep probably folds the flop so I loose $4 there but the QJ might bet the flop if checked to him. The BB would still raise and I would still push. Thoughts? TIA |

You've got top top against a bunch of presumed idiots, with 25% of your stack in preflop, and less than a PSB on the flop. This is super standard.

Is this game 1/2 with a $40 cap? That sounds exciting. :/

I am a tournament player moving to NL cash games and I want to work on my game with a limited amount of downside. I don't play online so I am limited to the live types of games. |
