Question about 1600x1200 monitor
How come in the Dell store
the Samsung 204b is $300 http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/produ...mp;sku=A0611623 but the Dell 2007FFP is $450? http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/produ...mp;sku=320-4687 Aren't they essentially the same monitor? Am I an idiot for obv buying the Samsung over the Dell? Or is the Dell really worth the extra $150? |

Re: Question about 1600x1200 monitor
According to the specs the dell has a response time of 16ms !!??? compared to 5ms for the Samsung. Everything else looks comparable. Dunno, why its no much more expensive, but I would never consider getting a display with a 16ms response time.

Re: Question about 1600x1200 monitor
There are a ton of things that determine the price of an LCD. I don't want to list everything because it would end up being a 5 billion word essay.
The main thing is the type of panel inside the LCD itself. Google around for "LCD panel types" if you're really interested. The 204b is a very solid monitor. If I didn't already have 2 monitors I'd seriously consider it. |

Re: Question about 1600x1200 monitor
204b is the clear winner for those prices. I've used both and I like the 204b more.

Samsung has a 30" version now also. Been planning on getting the Dell 30" one but now, not sure.

Re: Question about 1600x1200 monitor
I like both but my Samsung has major glare problems which none of my Dells have.
