OVERBETTTTTTTTTTTT ARGGG 5/10 on Stars
Villain in this hand is like Matt Kearny or something like that. I've been playing pretty normal, pretty laggy preflop.
So anyway I raise to 40 preflop with J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in mid position and he calls from the CO. Effective stacks are like 1200. FLOP: J 8 4 rainbow. I decide to check the flop, which is something I rarely do. He checks behind. TURN: Q. Still no flush draws, I bet 70 and he raises to 240. Usually I just get all in here but I thought he thought I might have a weak hand because of the flop check and might run a bluff on the river. So I just call. River: 4, pairing the board. I check planning on calling a pot sized bet, but he bets 900 into the $600 pot. What kind of hand do you think he would do this with? Fold or Call? I don't really have too much of read on him. |

Re: OVERBETTTTTTTTTTTT ARGGG 5/10 on Stars
Fold. It's very unlikely that he's valuebetting a Q8/JT type hand, and his turn raise is really strong considering there are no draws. I guess he could have KT, but I'd be very surprised if this is anything other than T9.

Actually I messed up, it was a 7 on the flop. No possible straights
