How do you bet -1?
I betted RL -1.5 with Texas and lost b/c of it. I know there was a way to do it like you bet both moneyline and runline and you get a number. For instance if you bet on yankees today moneyline it would be -170 but if you bet yankees RL it would be -115 or so. How do you do Yankees -1? I know that line will be somewhere around -140. If that line is -140, how would i risk 140 to win 100? Thanks.

Re: How do you bet -1?
Say the ML is -170. So you bet say $170 to win $100 on the ML.
The RL is -1.5 and say +104. So you bet $100 to win $104. Your team wins by 2 or more runs you win $200. Your team wins by 1 run you win $100 from ML but lose $100 on RL so you push. Your team loses and you are SOL and lose both bets. Basically you bet ML X to win Y and then RL Y to win Z. Easy enough. -Brendan |

Re: How do you bet -1?
well how do i do it if i wanted to risk 100 and not win 100 total? For instance i want the Yankees tomrorow and risk 100 max. The ML is -147 and the RL is +105.
So it goes like this? ML: Risk 50 to win 26.50 RL: Risk 50 to win 55 If Yankees lose tomrorw, i lose 100. If Yankees win by 1 run, i push If Yankees win by 2+ runs, I win 81.50 Then the Yankees would be -1 at -123 or so? Is this calculation correct? |

Re: How do you bet -1?
I haven't even looked closely at the math in this article, but it claims to do what you want:

Re: How do you bet -1?
okay from that site i see
That means 56.53 is our money line wager on the Angels at -130. That bet would yield a profit of 43.25. How do you get the 43.25? |

Remember ML must be X to win Y and then RL Y to win Z. Your #s don't balance out. The easy way if you want to only risk $100 is to figure out X to win Y and these 2 will equal $100. So at -170 you need to risk $$62.96 to win $37.04 and then risk that $37.04 on the RL. -Brendan |
