Default Suited aces with 5 limpers ahead.

I just played hand where i was small big blind and other 5 players limped. I had A8s and i reised. Is this ok play? Does A8s have good enough equity to do so against 5 hands?

Even if it has the equity I don't like it out of position. I think completing and seeing what the flop brings is much better. I don't think i'd raise until I was looking at something like AJs, ATs is reasonable.

I think it's fine, although I prefer doing it in position as there are more benefits than strictly pushing the small equity edge.

I think with your slight equity advantage and positional disadvantage I would say there's probably not much difference between raising and calling.

I'd personally raise ATs and AQo here and just call the rest.
